Tie Rods and Tie Rod Ends
Tie rods are a part of the steering system on a vehicle. They connect the center link and the steering knuckle and are also used to adjust the alignment on a car. Tie rods are comprised of two pieces - the inner tie rod end, and the outer tie rod end.
Tie rods can wear out over time, as well as suffer due to other components in the steering or suspension systems being damaged. Anytime tie rods are replaced, the car will need to be aligned again as removing them will disturb the alignment.
Due to the nature of the repair and the required alignment afterwards, it may be best to leave this job to an experienced automotive technician!
