Coolant Recovery Tanks
Coolant recovery tanks use pressure and vacuum to trap expanding coolant, then return it to the cooling system after it has chilled.
These tanks are usually made of plastic, and can become damaged easily. When cracked or leaking, they will not adequately function and require replacement.
Replacing the coolant recovery tank will vary in difficulty depending on the vehicle and arrangement of components inside the engine compartment. Never service the cooling system while hot!
