Blower Motor Resistors
The blower motor resistor provides the speed functionality for a blower motor. As the controls are adjusted, the resistor changes the level of current being provided to the blower motor causing it to spin faster or slower.
One of the most common signs of a blower motor resistor failing is the fan being stuck at full blast. Chances are if this is occuring it's due to a faulty blower motor resistor!
Blower motor resistors are usually very close to the blower motor itself. As such, replacing one will probably require disassembly of the dash!
